-
According to Hossain H (2012)
Excerpt The present study was designed to investigate the antidiarrhoeal activity & determination of total tannin content of the ethanolic extract from the root of Acrostichum aureum (Linn.). Results: The ethanol extract at graded doses (200 & 400 mg/kg body weight) was investigated for antidiarrhoeal activity in term of reduction in the rate of defecation & consistency of faeces in castor oil induced diarrhoea.

-
According to Hossain H (2011)
Excerpt At the dose of 400 mg/kg body weight, the extract showed a significant anti-inflammatory activity in the carrageenan-induced oedema test in rats showing 65.90% reduction in the paw volume (P<0.01) comparable to that produced by the standard drug indomethacin (66.66%) after 24h. The ethanolic crude extract of the root of Acrostichum aureum was evaluated for its anti-inflammatory activity.
-
According to Wu X (2018)
Excerpt Acrostichum aureum a medicinal pteridophyte growing in mangrove forests & coastal regions of tropical & subtropical areas worldwide, has been proved to possess various biological effects. Besides, WEAC pretreatment alleviated inflammatory infiltration by reducing the secretion of proinflammatory cytokines including tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), & interleukin-6 (IL-6) as well as decreasing the protein expressions of phosphorylation of IκBα & p65.
-
According to Ultari A (2021)
Excerpt The purpose of this review is to provide knowledge about Mangrove Fern (Acrostichum aureum L.). Pharmacologically these plants have been reported as cytotoxic, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, analgesic, antiviral, antibacterial, & antiparasitic.
-
According to Sundarajan R (2014)
Excerpt The current review designates the morphological, active principles & ethnopharmacological aspects of Acrostichum aureum. Being it's a vital healthful plant in Chinese medication this are supposed to vary medical specialty activities like analgesic, antiinflammatory, antifertility, antioxidant, & cytotoxic activities.

-
According to Khan SA (2013)
Excerpt The plant extract of Acrostichum aureum Linn (Family- Pteridaceae), was themed to phytochemical & pharmacological exploration to determine antioxidant, & analgesic activity to afford an appropriate guide, that may be used in future investigation. Quantitatively, it revealed significant stable DPPH radical scavenging action with the IC50 value of 41.95 μg/mL while the IC50 value of the standard ascorbic acid was 16.36 μg/mL.
-
According to Wu X (2018)
Excerpt Acrostichum aureum a medicinal pteridophyte growing in mangrove forests & coastal regions of tropical & subtropical areas worldwide, has been proved to possess various biological effects. Taken together, WEAC exerted potential therapeutic efficacy for gastric ulceration, & this may be involved in the suppression of oxidative stress & inflammatory response.
-
According to Hanin NNF (2017)
Excerpt Sea Fern (Acrostichum aureum L.), which typically grows in mangrove ecosystem, has two distinguished leaves which are fertile leaves (rich in spores) and sterile leaves (no spores). Thus, the ethanolic extracts of spores of AA sterile leaves showed the highest flavonoid content & could be categorized as a very strong antioxidant.
