EEAS (100 & 200mg/kg) & Glibenclamide (10mg/kg) orally administered daily for 15 days respectively, blood was withdrawn for glucose determination on 1, 7, 15 days respectively.

EEAS & silymarin produced significant (p < 0.05) hepatoprotective effect by decreasing the activity of serum enzymes, Bilirubin, total cholesterol and in vivo lipid peroxidation & significantly (p < 0.05) increasing the levels of GSH, SOD, CAT & HDL cholesterol.
