      Excerpt Antigonon leptopus is a medicinal plant used in Cadmium induced hepatotoxicity for this study Male wistar albino rats taken which cadmium induced & methanolic extracts of AL at daily doses of 100,200,& 400 mg/kg for 21 days ,results showed that A.leptopus have shown protective action.Antioxidant effect has also shown by AL, Antioxidant efficacy of AL flower extract was performed byDPPH method Absorbance was measured in triplicate at 517nm using Butylated hydroxytolune (BHT) as a reference standard for comparison. The results shown that the ethanolic extract of AL tested for their antioxidant activity by DPPH method and the extract shown the radicle scavenging activity .The plant reported to possess various bioactivities such Antidiabetic, Anti-inflammatory, Antimicrobial, Antioxidant, Analgesic, Cytotoxic , Hepatoprotective activity.
