Short excerpts only (not the full article). Full reference records are in the Lapo v2 application.

    • According to Muthumani P (2010)

Excerpt In the present study, the anti-inflammatory, diuretic activity of ethanolic, ethylacetate extracts & Colum isolated compound SU I of whole plant of BE were studied & the activity was compared with Diclofenac sodium, Furosemide as standard. The antiinflammatory activity was found out by Carrageenan induced paw edema method by using standard Diclofenac sodium.

    • According to Compaoré M (2018)

Excerpt Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the antioxidant & anti-inflammatory activities & to determine the polyphenolic contents of the B engleri & B erecta fractions. The different fractions were compared

    • Excerpt according to their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory activities, total phenolic, & total flavonoid contents.

    • According to Vasuki K (2018)

Excerpt Pharmacological evaluation of the crude ethanolic extract of Boerhavia diffusa roots has shown to possess anti proliferative & immunomodulatory properties but not reported from B erecta. The present study was designed to investigate immunomodulatory activity of aqueous extract of whole plant Boerhavia erecta.

    • According to Nugraha A.S (2015)

Excerpt Phytochemical studies of the previously unexplored stem of Boerhavia erecta from Burkina Faso, resulted in the isolation of an unreported glycoside 4, 2,3-dihydroxypropylbenzoate-3-O-β-[4″-methoxy] glucuronide as well as seven known glycosides (1–3, 5–8). The extracts & isolates were also tested for anti-malarial activity, but insignificant activity was observed.

    • According to Gopinath M (2017)

Excerpt Antioxidants are the major plant products that play a major role in anticancer agents through acting as reducing agents, hydrogen donators, DPPH, nitric oxide free radical scavenging activity, etc. Under normal conditions, the cells in which the DNA or other components were irreversibly damaged by various causes, undergo programmed cell death (apoptosis).

  2. Bacterial infection: Aeromonas hydrophila, Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa

    Plant part used: Sheet.

    Scientific references (short excerpts)

Short excerpts only (not the full article). Full reference records are in the Lapo v2 application.

    • According to Suriyavathana M (2011)

Excerpt The present study was designed to evaluate the phytochemical, biochemical & antimicrobial activity of leaf extracts of Boerhavia erecta & Chromolaena odorata. About 1.0 gram of clean dried leaf was taken along with 10 ml ethanol & mashed well in a homogenizer & filtered, then used for biochemical, phytochemical analysis & antimicrobial activity by using various standard methods.

    • According to Palle SR (2020)

Excerpt Boerhavia Erecta is an extraordinary plant species that is useful & unique because of its physical characteristics & genetic composition. The antioxidant study confirmed the high reflection of reduction property of oxygen free radicals, & the antibacterial activity showed moderate activity against both gram-positive & gram-negative microorganisms when compared with standard antibiotics by disc diffusion assay.

    • According to Nguyen HH (2023)

Excerpt Boerhavia erecta is a tropical plant that is widely used in Asian folk medicine. Compounds 1 & 4 were evaluated for alpha-glucosidase inhibition & antimicrobial activity against antibiotic-resistant, pathogenic bacteria Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, & Acinetobacter baumannii.

    • According to Olaoluwa O (2015)

Excerpt stem oil inhibited the growth of Escherichia coli & Staphylococcus aureus bacterial strains, while root oil showed moderate inhibition against Salmonella typhi & Bacillus subtilis at inhibition zones of 14-20 mm over a concentration of 12.5-50%. In this regard, stems & roots of Boerhavia erecta together with aerial parts of Euphorbia hirta L.

    • According to Petrus A.J.A (2012)
