According to Syed AH (2021)
Excerpt Accordingly, we aimed to delineate the protective effect of ethanolic extract of Cissus quadrangularis (EECQ) against high-fat diet/streptozotocin (HFD/STZ) induced diabetic nephropathy rats. Cissus quadrangularis, holds antioxidant & hypoglycemic activity; however, a direct link between its activity & prevention of diabetic nephropathy has not been ascertained yet.
-
According to Lekshmi RK (2014)
Excerpt This study was aimed at evaluating the beneficial effects of Cissus quadrangularis stem extract on antioxidant/oxidant status in diabetes mellitus. Materials & methods: The antioxidant activities of an ethyl acetate fraction of Cissus quadrangularis stem (CQSF) at three different doses (50, 100, & 200 mg/kg body weight) were evaluated in rats with experimentally induced diabetes.

According to Gupta M (2018)
Excerpt Alloxan (dissolved in 0.1 M citrate buffer (pH = 4.5); intraperitoneally injected @ 130 mg/kg body weight) induced type I diabetic rats were treated with individual & combined doses of ethanol extracts of CQ & TFG for consecutive 30 days @ 250 & 500 mg per kg body weight, orally. CQ & TFG combination therapy showed a marked improvement in bone microarchitecture & can be given together as a potential alternative medicine to insulin for prevention of type I diabetes induced osteopathy.
-
According to Chaudhari RL (2013)
Excerpt The present study was performed to explore the antihyperglyceamic activity of ethanolic extract of leaves of Cissus quadrangularis against alloxan induced diabetic rats. quadrangularis & glyburide were administered orally in alloxan induced diabetic rats.
