Based on the remarkable anti-inflammatory effects of PAGPs on LPS-induced RAW264.7 cells, the topical administration of PAGP-1 & PAGP-2 could significantly accelerate full-thickness wound healing in diabetic mice, involving to alleviate the inflammation, increase the ratio of type I & type III collagen fibers, & promote the polarization of macrophages M1 to M2.

(2018) — excerpt: The aims of this study were to examine the anti-fibrotic effects of extracts of Periplaneta americana (EPA) on CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis in rats, to preliminary determine the anti-fibrotic efficacy of EPA, & to identify a potential & effective therapeutic agent to attenuate hepatic fibrosis. The mechanism of EPA action may be related to the inhibition of TGF-β1, NF-κB, & α-SMA expressions and the reduction of TIMP-1 levels in the liver to reduce the accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) components, thereby blocking the relevant signaling pathways & preventing inflammatory responses to attenuate or reverse hepatic fibrosis.

Excerpt Observe the effect of extractive from Periplaneta americana(CⅡ-3) on immune & on inhibitory tumor action in S180-bearing mice.Method: S180 sarcoma was implanted into right-fore oxter,then randomly divided into normal group, model group, cyclophosphamide group(30 mg·kg-1,ip quaque die alterna),CⅡ-3 high dosage group,medium dosage group & low dosage group (200,100,50 mg·kg-1,ig),t he S180-bearing mice in every group were received corresponding treatment for 10 days.Tumor growth of the mice was observed, immune organs were weighted to calculate the organ index & ELISA was used to test the concentration of vascular tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) in serum.Results: CⅡ-3 inhibited the growth of S180 sarcoma significantly,200,100,50 mg·kg-1 dosages inhibited the tumor weight by 58.22%, 45.66%, 35.37% .CⅡ-3 had protective function on immune,the liver indexs in high dosage group, medium dosage group & low dosage group were 53.54,54.15 59.53 mg·g-1 respectively, spleen indexs were 3.60,4.44,5.18 mg·g-1 respectively & thymic indexs were 2.45,2.00,2.30 mg·g-1 respectively.And it dramatically increased the concentration of TNF-α in serum, the concentrations of TNF-α of three groups were 324.92, 304.

The percentage of cells in the early stage of apoptosis the late stage of apoptosis the late stage of apoptosis and the early stage of necrosis the late stage of necrosis except for the percentage of cells in the late stage of apoptosis and early stage of necrosis when treated with YS-F 27 μg/mL for 72 h,the percentage of cells in the late stage of necrosis when treated with YS-F 3,9 μg/mL for 72 h were decreased significantly & the percentage of cells in S phase (except for YS-F 3 μg/mL for 72 h)& Sub-G 0/G1 phase after treated for 72 h were significantly higher than same group after 48 h of treatment while the percentage of cells in G 0/G1 & G 2/M phase were significantly lower than same group after 48 h of treatment (P<0.01; After treated with YS-F 9,27,81 μg/mL for 48 h,the reduction rate of cell mitochondrial membrane potential was increased significantly ;YS-F 27, 81 μg/mL groups were significantly higher than YS-F 9 μg/mL group & YS-F 81 μg/mL group was significantly higher than YS-F 27 μg/mL group.

Excerpt To explore the effect of Periplaneta americana extract on human lung cancer cell H125 & its mechanism.Methods The human lung cancer cells H125 were divided into negative control group,positive control group(cisplatin 10μg/mL) & PA extract group(10,20,40 μg/mL).Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium(MTT) colorimetric method was adopted to observe the growth of H125 cells.Cell cycle,apoptosis & mitochondrial membrane potential were measured with flow cytometry.The expression of Bax and Bcl-2 protein were detected with Western blot.Results PA extract could inhibit the growth of human lung cancer cell H125,with a 50% inhihition concentration(IC50) of 24.8 μg/ml. Conclusion : PA extract can inhibit the growth of human lung cancer cell H125,arrest the cell cycle in S phase,and induce apoptosis through.
