      Excerpt Phytochemical analysis was performed & antibacterial was evaluated against four reference bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli & Pseudomonas aeruginosa, & four patient isolated bacteria using iodonitrotetrazolium microtest. Eight extracts from the entire plant of SL were prepared using diethyl ether, acetone, cyclohexane, methylene chloride, ethyl acetate, methanol, butanol & ethanol/water (20:80).

      Excerpt The present survey consisted in a first time, to make a biological assessment carrying on the potential antibacterial & analgesic activities of ethanolic decoctions from Schrankia leptocarpa, the whole plant (P) & it’s different organs: stem (T), roots (R), leaves (F), fruit, as well as stem-roots (TR), roots-leaves (RF), leaves-stem (FT) combinations. However, only the excerpt R exhibits a good analgesic activity.
