      Excerpt Objective: Reported study was done for a comparative evaluation of α-glucosidase & aldose reductase inhibitory activity of Tribulus terrestris & Curculigo orchioides which are well-known Ayurvedic Rasayana herbs. Design: A total of 48 Wistar strain rats were rendered hyperglycemic by treating them with streptozotocin (75 mg/Kg body weight).

      Excerpt In this study, the saponin compounds were isolated from Tribulus terrestris (Fruit), & to determine the inhibitory effect of these compounds were investigated on the growth of some bacteria, which include: Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella typhi, Klebsiella pneumonia & Bacillus subtilis, & used the antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin, Chloramphenicol) as control samples.
