According to Thomas SV (2019)
Excerpt To evaluate the anticancer potentials of Annona muricata fruit by in vitro & in vivo methods. In the in vivo studies, the DEN-control group showed a significant decrease in body weights with increased mortality rate, hepatic nodules, & impairment of liver function compared to normal rats.
-
According to Moghadamtousi S.Z (2015)
Excerpt Numerous investigations have substantiated these activities, including anticancer, anticonvulsant, anti-arthritic, antiparasitic, antimalarial, hepatoprotective and antidiabetic activities. Annona muricata is a member of the Annonaceae family&d is a fruit tree with a long history of traditional use.
-
According to Abdul-Wahab SM (2018)
Excerpt Different parts of AM especially the leaves have been used for various ethnomedicinal purposes by traditional healers to treat several diseases including cancer, inflammation, diabetes, liver diseases, & abscesses. Further in vitro & in vivo studies should be carried out to explore the molecular mechanisms underlying their anti-inflammatory responses in relation to anticancer activity & more detail toxicity study to ensure they are safe for human consumption.

According to Shukry M (2020)
Excerpt Our results showed that MSG caused a significant increase in oxidative stress markers malondialdehyde (MDA), reactive oxygen species (ROS), nitric oxide (NO), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), proinflammatory cytokines interleukin 6 (IL-6) level, a tumor protein (P53), hepatic cellular damage, as well as proapoptotic markers caspase-3, & B-cell lymphoma 2 (BCL-2)-like protein 4 (Bax). Besides, Graviola reduced the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and hepatic fatty acid synthase (FAS) & led to the upregulation of the silent information regulator protein one gene expression gene (SIRT1).In conclusion, the results suggest that Gaviola's interrelated antiapoptotic, antioxidant, & anti-inflammatory properties are potential mechanisms to enhance hepatic deficits & protect the liver.

According to Quillez M (2018)
Excerpt Aim of the study : This review aims to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the research conducted so far on the local and traditional uses, pharmacological activities, mechanism of actions of active compounds, toxicity, and possible interactions with other drugs of the Annona species. Many of the assays were carried out with the isolated acetogenins in different lines of tumour culture cells & were found effective at very low doses even in multidrug-resistant tumours, & hence constitute promising compounds in the treatment of different types of cancers.

According to Akinlolu O (2023)
Excerpt In this work, an attempt was made to study the hematological & hypoglycemic effects of Annona muricata ripe fruits pulp in Streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats & validates its traditional claim. These results indicate that ripe fruits pulp of AM possesses a strong hypoglycemic effect in STZ–induced diabetic rats, thus supporting its traditional use in the management of diabetes mellitus.

According to Arhoghro EM (2020)
Excerpt The aim of this study is to determine the protection of ethanolic Annona muricata (soursop) leaves extract on cyclophosphamide induced toxicity & oxidative stress in liver of male Wistar rat. The results showed that there was a significant increase (P˂0.05) in the enzyme levels compared to the control in albino male rat liver after the administration of the cyclophosphamide.
-
According to Author (2014)
Excerpt The present study was conducted to evaluate the protective role of ethanolic leaf extract of Annona muricata on Diethylnitrosamine (DMN)-induced hepatotoxicity in rat model. Taken these data together, it can be concluded that natural plant components such as A muricata leaves could protect the liver against Diethylnitrosamine (DMN)-induced liver toxicity.
