      Excerpt Findings in this study showed that this plant has Hypoglycemic properties & did not exert oxidative damage to the heart & the various hormonal profiles as well as its relative safety & possible use for weight gain. The present study was undertaken to investigate the effect of extracts of C citratus on the blood sugar level, lipid profiles & hormonal profiles of normal rats.

      Excerpt Aim of the work: This work is aimed to study the protective effect of C citratus ethanolic leaf extract against hepatic injury and fibrosis induced by repeated intermittent administration of Dimethyl nitrosamine (DMN) in rats. In conclusion: The results of this present study indicated that aqueous leaf extracts of C citratus has an Antihepatotoxic action against DMN induced hepatic oxidative damage in rats which might be ascribed to its antioxidant and free radical scavenging property.
