Extrait Effects of lemon grass extract (LGE) on hepatocarcinogenesis were examined in male Fischer 344 rats, administered diethylnitrosamine (DEN) at three weekly intraperitoneal doses of 100 mg/kg body weight & partially hepatectomized at the end of week 5. These results suggest inhibitory effects of LGE on the early phase hepatocarcinogenesis in rats after initiation with DEN,.

Extrait citratus should be used with caution by individuals with kidney & liver diseases, pregnant or lactating women, patients on antiplatelet medication or clotting disorders, & in combination with drugs that depend on the cytochrome P450 enzyme system for their metabolism. citratus is relatively safe for consumption at any dose, recent evidence suggests that factors such as the variation in bioactive constituents & dose/duration of administration could influence its toxicological profile.

Extrait Aim of the work: This work is aimed to study the protective effect of C citratus ethanolic leaf extract against hepatic injury and fibrosis induced by repeated intermittent administration of Dimethyl nitrosamine (DMN) in rats. Results: It was found that DMN produces histopathological changes of the liver; including signs of severe hepatic injury.
