      Excerpt Hence in the present study we tested hepatoprotective & antioxidant activity of fruit extract of LS in anti-tubercular drug induced hepatotoxicity., Methods: We administered antitubercular drugs alone & in combination with fruit extract of LS (EELS 100mg/kg & EELS 200mg/kg) in healthy albino rats by oral route for 15 days. Conclusion: Ethanolic extract of LS fruit possesses significant hepatoprotective & antioxidant activity in antitubercular drugs induced hepatotoxicity.

      Excerpt Molecularly, cucurbitacin B caused reduction of the metastasis-promoting gene Snail in melanoma & one of the cancer stem cell markers, ALDH1A1 (aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 A1), in breast cancer. We also found that cucurbitacin B significantly reduced the invasiveness of at least two highly metastatic breast cancer & melanoma cells.
