According to MUNIANDY K (2014)
Excerpt aromaticus demonstrated good antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis & Staphylococcus aureus & moderate activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa & Klebsiella pneumonia. This antibacterial study indicates the crude extract as a bioactive compound that could be useful to develop new antimicrobial agents & it can be used to assist us in reducing the burden of cost & drug resistance.

According to Gurgel AP (2009)
Excerpt Plectranthus amboinicus (Lour.) Spreng is a medicinal specie often used in Brazil, especially in Northeast Region, for the treatment of several diseases including inflammations and cancer. amboinicus at the doses of 100, 150, 250 & 350 mg/kg (i.p.) inhibited the growth of sarcoma-180 & Ehrlich Ascite carcinoma tumors in mice.

Excerpt Conclusions: The P amboinicus leaves Ethanolic Extract Nanoparticles could be an effective anticancer by improving its downregulation on cyclinD1, upregulation caspase-9 & p53. The application of nanotechnology is aimed to enhance the capability of the chemical compounds of Plectranthus amboinicus leaves activity.
-
According to Manurung K (2020)
Excerpt Conclusions : All the flavonoid compounds contained in the ethanolic extract of P amboinicus leaves exhibit very strong anti-cancer & antioxidant activity, which results in ethanolic extract of P amboinicus leaves have very strong antioxidant activity. The results showed that the flavonoid compounds contained in P amboinicus have similar anticancer activity to the reference molecule at the P-Glycoprotein-1, Cyclin Dependent Kinase-2, & Phosphoinositide-3-Kinase receptors, as well as better anticancer activity than the reference molecule for the Cyclooxygenase-2 & Phosphoenolpyruvate Carboxykinase receptors.
