Extrait Aims: The aim of this work was to test the possible protective effect of Beta vulgaris & Moringa oleifera leaves against MTX induced hepatotoxicity in rats. Results: Ethanolic extracts of B vulgaris & M oleifera individually and in combination exhibited significant hepatoprotective effect when administered prior to methotrexate in rats, by maintaining normal murine LFTs (ALP.AST, ALT) with P value <0.05.

Extrait The present study concluded that BVBF possess potent hepatoprotective effect against ethanol-induced hepatic toxicity & it may have a great potential role in the management of alcoholic liver disease. The present study was undertaken to investigate the hepatoprotective action of Beta vulgaris leaves against ethanol-mediated hepatotoxicity.
