Selon Peng CH (2009)
Extrait In conclusion, FC fruits that concomitantly possess insulin secretagogue & slimming effects would be very beneficial to type 2 diabetes mellitus patient. By kinetic analysis on the hypoglycemic patterns of the intraperitoneal glucose tolerance (IPGTT) & the insulin-glucose tolerance tests (IGTT), its insulin secretagogue effect was confirmed.

Extrait From 70% aqueous methanol extract of the defatted powdered leaves of Citrus medica L. The antihyperglycemic activity exerted a significant reduction in blood glucose level to (105.2±8.35) in diabetic rats after one month of treatment with a dose of 200 mg/kg & to (87.4±6.30) with 400mg, when compared to Gliclazide standard (110.8±7.24) (P< 0.05).

Selon Menichini F (2016)
Extrait This study aimed to investigate the antidiabetic, antilipidaemic & antioxidant activities of Citrus medica cv Diamante (Rutaceae) hydroalcoholic (CD) peel extract in Zucker diabetic fatty (ZDF) rats.

Selon Menichini F (2011)
Extrait This study evaluated the in vitro inhibition of carbohydrate-hydrolysing enzymes, the stimulation of insulin secretion, and the in vivo metabolic effects in mice of Citrus medica L. Measurements of the effects of peel extract on the mouse insulinoma MIN6 β-cells indicated that it did exert direct stimulatory effects on the exocytotic release of insulin in a concentration-dependent manner.

Selon Sah AN (2011)
Extrait The objective of the present investigation was to evaluate the antidiabetic & hypolipidemic activity of petroleum ether extract of Citrus medica Linn. One group was selected as control group (buffer alone) and four groups of STZ induced diabetic rats (n = 5 in each group) were administered vehicle (1% tween 80), seed extract (200 & 400 mg/kg, p.o.) of CM & standard drug Glibenclamide (5 mg/ kg) for 15 days after 10 days of single dose of STZ (60 mg/kg) intraperitoneal administration.

Selon Alaqeel NK (2023)
Extrait To explore the most effective uses of citrus peel-derived antioxidants, this review presents background information, an overview of the role of citrus antioxidants in cancer therapy, & a discussion of the key underlying molecular mechanisms. In particular, the antioxidant chemicals found in citrus peel have been identified as potential cancer-fighting agents.

Selon Barreca D (2020)
Extrait The unique characteristics of their basic skeleton & the nature & position of the substituents have attracted & stimulated vigorous investigations as a consequence of an enormous biological potential, that manifests itself as (among other properties) antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antimicrobial, & anticancer activities. Apigenin, diosmetin, luteolin, acacetin, chrysoeriol, and their respective glycosides, that occur in concentrations up to 60 mg/L, are the most common flavones found in Citrus fruits & juices.

Extrait In this study, we synthesized AuNPs using leaf extract of Citrus medica (C. Additionally, it was seen that biosynthesized AuNPs show selective inhibition on the proliferation of HepG2 (human liver cancer cell line) relative to THLE3 (normal adult liver epithelial cells) via generation of ROS & MDA, reduction of GSH level and SOD activity, & over expression of Bax/Bcl-2and Caspase-3 mRNA.

Selon Tundis R (2023)
Extrait This review focused on the composition & biological properties of the EOs of C medica & C Clementina & their main constituents, limonene, γ-terpinene, myrcene, linalool, & sabinene. Citrus is an important genus in the Rutaceae family, with high medicinal & economic value, & includes important crops such as lemons, orange, grapefruits, limes, etc.

Excerpt The antimicrobial activity of the EOs was assayed against some bacterial strains: Bacillus cereus (DSM 4313), Bacillus cereus (DSM 4384), Staphylococcus aureus (DSM 25693), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 50071), & Escherichia coli (DSM 8579). The antimicrobial activity registered confirm their traditional uses as food preserving agents & led us to hypothesize the possible use of these oils as antimicrobials.
