Selon Mbah UH (2016)
Extrait MSG at a high concentration (8000 mg/kg body weight) adversely affected the rat’s liver biofunction and the hepatoprotective potentials of ethanol extract of Solanum melongena Linn fruit was notably at 500 mg/kg of body weight in rats. This study evaluated the hepatoprotective potentials of ethanolic extract of Solanum melongena fruit on monosodium glutamate-intoxicated rats & liver section histology using standard protocols.

Selon Sudheesh S (1997)
Extrait Flavonoids extracted from the fruits of Solanum melongena orally administered at a dose of 1 mg/100 g BW/day showed significant hypolipidemic action in normal & cholesterol fed rats. A significant increase in the concentrations of hepatic & fecal bile acids & fecal neutral sterols was also observed indicating a higher rate of degradation of cholesterol.

Selon Akanitapichat P (2010)
Extrait Significant correlation was found between hepatoprotective activities & total phenolic/flavonoid content (r = 0.6371–0.8842) & antioxidant activities (r = 0.5846–0.9588), indicating the contribution of the phenolic antioxidant present in eggplant to its hepatoprotective effect on t-BuOOH-induced toxicity.

Extrait Antioxidant values, p53 & Bax genes expression, inflammatory cytokines, enzymes, body weight, serum glucose, & morphometrical features were increased significantly (except insulin & FRAP levels & Bcl2 gene expression which were decreased) in diabetic group compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Roshankhah S et al, Evaluation of biomarkers in liver following Solanum melongena green calyx administration in diabetic rats, J Diabetes Disorder, 19(2):1115-27, 2020-Abatract: Solanum melongena green calyx (SMGC) has antioxidant properties.

Selon Im K (2016)
Extrait In order to investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of SM stalk, an ethanol extract of the stalk was prepared, & fractionated into hexane, dichloromethane, ethyl acetate, n-butanol, & water fractions. In contrast, the hexane & dichloromethane fractions decreased the production of nitric oxide, pro-inflammatory cytokines, & prostaglandin E2, despite the presence of low levels of phenols implying that other compounds than phenols are involved in anti-inflammatory reactions.

Extrait In addition, the isolations were evaluated for the potential anti-inflammatory activity, by virtue of RAW 264.7 cells model induced by lipopolysaccharide (LPS)in vitro inhibitory activities on nitric oxide (NO) production. Three new compounds (1–3), were isolated from the ethanol extract of the roots of Solanum melongena L., together with twenty-seven knowns (4–30).

Selon Dadi JF (2013)
Extrait Anti-inflammatory activity of the petroleum ether, chloroform, Aqueous & methanol extracts of the root of Solanum melongena was studied in Wistar rats using the carrageenan induced left hind paw edema. The results indicated that the petroleum ether and aqueous extract shows more significant anti-inflammatory activity then chloroform & methanol extracts when compared with the standard & untreated control.

Selon Umamageswari MS (2015)
Extrait Aqueous extract of leaves of Solanum melongena Linn was investigated for its anti-inflammatory activity. Aqueous extract of SM leaf in the dose of 200mg/kg showed significant anti-inflammatory activity (p <0.05) at 3rd hr & highly significant anti-inflammatory activity (p<0.001) at 5th hr; in the dose of 400 mg/kg, test drug showed p<0.01 at 3rd & p<0.001 at 5th hr and in the dose of 100mg/kg it showed significant (p<0.05) anti-inflammatory activity at 5th hr.

Selon Al-Janabi SH (2010)
Extrait Crude extracts of different parts of SM were tested for their antimicrobial activities against seven pathogenic microorganisms that include two strains of fungi (dermatophytes) & five strains of bacteria. Methods: To determine antimicrobial effects of SM well agar diffusion assay for bacteria & colony diameter method for fungi were used.

Selon Mbah OH (2019)
Extrait At a minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) of 50 µg/ml, the ethanolic extract of SM fruit showed the highest activity against the bacterium, Staphylococcus aureus (16.33 ± 2.69mm) & the fungi, Aspergillus flavus (3.33 ± 0.38mm at 70.00 µg/ml). The ethanolic extract of Solanum melongena Linn fruit as a potent in vitro antioxidant & antimicrobial agent was investigated using standard protocols.
