  1. Infection bacterienne: Escherichia coli, staphylococcus aureus, drug-resistant A-baumannii & Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Partie usitée : Écorce de tige.

    • Selon Kongchaoronsuntorn W (2022)

Extrait As a result of screening antibiofilm activity, stem bark of SF was be able to inhibit biofilm formation of Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 2592, & Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853 at the times of 4-24 hours after inoculum. Additionally, synergistic effect of SF in combination with polymyxin B was reported that using 1/2 MIC of SF mixed with 1/2 MIC of polymyxin B enhanced antibacterial activity against drug resistant A baumannii & P aeruginosa by time kill assay.

    • Selon Amuthavalli A (2020)

Extrait Later antibacterial activity of the all extracts were tested against two bacterial strains Styphylococcus aureus (G+ve) & Proteus mirabillis (G-ve) and the results revealed that the 98% methanolic extract was potent against both bacterial species at 30μg concentration. Phytochemical screening and anti-termite activity of the different solvent extracts of the Wild Indian almond, Sterculia foetida seed was studied in the present work.

    • Selon Khatoon A (2016)

Extrait Khatoon A et al, Studies on in vitro evaluation of antibacterial & antioxidant activities of Sterculia foetida L.

    • Selon Braga AA (2015)

Extrait The aim of this study was to isolate, characterize, & verify possible antibacterial & hemolytic activity for a lectin found in the seeds of Sterculia foetida L. The SFL has a molecular weight of 17 kDa, & a carbohydrate content of 53 μg/mL, specific for arabinose and xylose, & is resistant to treatment with urea, sensitive to treatment with sodium metaperiodate & β-mercaptoethanol, & in the presence of EDTA lost its hemagglutinating activity (HA).

    • Selon El-Sherei MM (2016)

Extrait The genus Sterculia and the related genera contain mainly flavonoids, whereas terpenoids, phenolic acids, phenylpropanoids, alkaloids, and other types of compounds including sugars, fatty acids, lignans & lignins are of less distribution. Also, the value of the genus Sterculia and its related genera in the traditional medicine & their effective biological activities led to the possibilities of finding new sources of drugs for prospect applications.

  2. Arthrose, arthrite, rhumatisme, oedeme

    Partie usitée : Fleur.

    • Selon Popeta RD (2016)

Extrait The seeds of SF have been reported to have analgesic & anti-inflammatory activity. The qualitative phytochemical analysis of flower extracts in ethyl acetate & ethanol revealed the presence of flavonoids, saponins & carbohydrates.

    • Selon Uddin I (2016)

Extrait In the study, we investigated phytochemical composition, antiinflammatory activity & anti-arthritic potential of Sterculia foetida L. In carrageenan induced rat paw edema model methanolic extract of SF bark (MESF) 1000 mg/kg showed highly significant anti-edematogenic effect at 3rd hr with % oedema inhibition of 50%.

    • Selon Mujumdar A (2000)

Extrait The extract also exhibited significant antiinflammatory activity in the acute carrageenan-induced rat paw edema & the chronic granuloma pouch models. An alcoholic extract of Sterculia foetida L.

    • Selon El-Sherei MM (2016)

Extrait The biological activities such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial & cytotoxic activities have been reported for several species of the genus. The genus Sterculia and the related genera contain mainly flavonoids, whereas terpenoids, phenolic acids, phenylpropanoids, alkaloids, and other types of compounds including sugars, fatty acids, lignans & lignins are of less distribution.

    • Selon Naik D (2004)

Extrait The alcohol 1, its acetate & ketone showed anti-inflammatory activity against TPA induced mouse ear oedema with inhibition ratios of 60.0, 58.57 & 40.57 at 0.5 mg/ear, respectively. Taraxer-14-en-3beta-ol ( 1) was shown to be the active ingredient in the leaves of Sterculia foetida L.
