    • Selon Ojiako OA (2015)

Extrait The present study ascertained the capacities of crude aqueous & ethanolic leaf extracts of Acanthus Montanus, Asystasia gangetica, Emilia coccinea & Hibiscus rosa sinensis, as well as their Combinatorial formulations to ameliorate hyperglycemia in Type I diabetic rats. Individual hyperglycemic rats (HyGR) received separate doses of either 20 mg/kg bw/24 h of A Montanus (ACMO), A gangetica (ASGA), E coccinea (EMCO) or H rosa sinensis (HIRO), as well as their Combinatorial formulations (AAEH) for 14 days.

    • Selon Ngozi E (2019)

    • Selon Hussain MM (2017)

Extrait The study evaluates anti-diabetic activity of ethanolic & aqueous extract of whole plant of Asystasia gangetica on streptozotocin induced diabetes in rats. The results exhibited potent antihyperglycaemic activity in normal & STZ induced diabetic rats so it might be useful in the treatment of diabetes.

    • Selon Ngozi E (2019)

Extrait The purpose of this study is to examine the acute toxicity & antidiabetic activity of Asystasia gangetica leaf ethanol extract. The acute antidiabetic study showed that treatment with 400 mg/kg of the extract significantly ( p = 0.01) lowered glucose level in the diabetic rats from 430.6 to 177.4 mg/dl while 800 mg/kg brought down glucose level from 370 to 144.2 mg/dl by the end of 6 h following administration when compared with the diabetic control group.

    • Selon Sarna K (2013)

Extrait The main aim of the present study was to investigate the alpha amylase & alpha glucosidase inhibitory effects of extracted anthocyanins from Asystasia gangetica flower. In this study we concluded that the crude anthocyanin extract of A-gangetica is a potential source of natural antidiabetic agent.
