      Extrait Results: After 28 days treatment the extracts significantly (p<0.001) reduce serum glucose level and recovered liver function tests (p<0.001) (SGOT, SGPT, ALP & Bilirubin) as well glycosylated haemoglobin (p<0.001). The aim of the present study was to evaluate the antidiabetic & hepatoprotectivity of ethanolic extracts of Coriandrum sativum in alloxan induced diabetic rat & find out the harmonious activity of the extract.

      Extrait Materials & methods: This study was aimed at investigating the hepatoprotective activity of CS against carbon tetrachloride (CCl4), with estimation of serum glutamyl oxaloacetic acid transaminase (SGOT), serum glutamyl pyruvate transaminase (SGPT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) & bilirubin, & with liver histopathology. CS signifies hepatoprotection by reducing the liver weight, activities of SGOT, SGPT, & ALP, & direct bilirubin of CCl (4) intoxicated animals.

      Extrait In the present study, an ethanol extract of the seeds was investigated for effects on insulin release from the pancreatic beta cells in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. Administration of streptozotocin decreased the number of beta cells with insulin secretory activity in comparison with intact rats, but treatment with the CS seed extract (200 mg/kg) increased significantly the activity of the beta cells in comparison with the diabetic control rats.

      Extrait Results: A single dose of CS-extract or GLB suppressed hyperglycemia in OHH rats, & normo-glycemia was achieved at 6-h post-dose; there was no effect on lipids, TG or insulin, but IR decreased significantly. The use of an aqueous extract of Coriandrum sativum seeds (CS-extract) in Moroccan traditional treatment of diabetes remains to be experimentally validated.

      Extrait Antibacterial experiment indicated that only water extract presented significant antimicrobial activity & the minimum inhibition concentration (MIC) was below 10% of original extract. The results showed that antibacterial activity of coriander extracts was stable under heating & had the best antibacterial effects at pH 6 with 2.0% NaCl concentration,.

      Extrait The aim of this study was to evaluate the chemical and antifungal activity of the essential oil from Coriandrum sativum L. In conclusion, the EO and its fractions could be used as potential antimicrobial agents to treat or prevent Candida yeast infections.
