      Extrait The aim of the present study was to characterize the altered & attenuated gene expression of the selected growth factor namely Transforming growth factor Beta -1 (TGFβ1) & MYC in human hepatoma-derived (Huh7) liver cancer cell lines in response to extracts of Artemisia absinthium dissolved in selected organic solvents. Ethanolic, methanolic & acetone extract of different plant parts (leaf, stem & flowers) was used to access the antiproliferative activity by MTT (3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-Diphenyltetrazolium Bromide) assay.

      Extrait In addition, total polyphenols, flavonoids, & condensed tannins as well as antioxidant, antibacterial, & antifungal activities of methanolic extract & essential oils were undertaken.
