Extrait The aim of the present study was to characterize the altered & attenuated gene expression of the selected growth factor namely Transforming growth factor Beta -1 (TGFβ1) & MYC in human hepatoma-derived (Huh7) liver cancer cell lines in response to extracts of Artemisia absinthium dissolved in selected organic solvents. Ethanolic, methanolic & acetone extract of different plant parts (leaf, stem & flowers) was used to access the antiproliferative activity by MTT (3-(4,5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-Diphenyltetrazolium Bromide) assay.

Selon Ali M (2022)
Extrait In this study, antioxidant, antibacterial, & anticancer activities of individual as well as combined 80% ethanolic extracts of Artemisia absinthium leaves & Citrus paradisi peels were investigated. Conclusion: The ethanolic extracts of AA leaves & Citrus paradisi peels can be used against liver cancer because of their antioxidant, antibacterial, & anticancer activities.

Extrait Today, numerous other directions of biological activity of the components of this species have been demonstrated & confirmed by scientific research, such as antiprotozoal, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-ulcer, hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, cytotoxic, analgesic, neuroprotective, anti-depressant, procognitive, neurotrophic, & cell membrane stabilizing and antioxidant activities. Artemisia absinthium—wormwood (Asteraceae)—is a very important species in the history of medicine, formerly described in medieval Europe as “the most important master against all exhaustions”.

Selon Sagástegui-Guarniz WA (2020)
Extrait Conclusions: Hepatoprotective & nephroprotective activities of methano& ethyl acetate extract of AA were demonstrated, being methanol extract to 200 mg/kg/day the most effective. Biochemical blood parameters like aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), urea & creatinine, & histopathologic changes of liver & kidney were studied & evaluated.

Extrait Liver enzymes such as aspartate aminotransferase (AST) andalanine aminotransferase (ALT) with total antioxidant power (TAP) & total thiol groups (TTG)concentrations were measured .Results: Levels of ALT, AST and TTG were decreased in the group II compared to the control (group I). Conclusion: Results suggests that alcoholic extract of AA can ameliorate liver toxicity inrats through reducing the serum levels of ALT, AST, & oxidative damage.
