Extrait Aims: In our study the main objective is to find out the hypoglycemic activity of ethanolic extract of leaves of Lawsonia inermis Linn in alloxan induced diabetic rats & its comparison with the standard drug Glibenclamide. Methodology: Albino rats weighing 200-250gms were selected and diabetes was induced by injecting alloxan monohydrate (180mg/kg b.w) intra peritonially.

Extrait The Present investigation was undertaken to evaluate the Polyherbal Formulation of Lawsonia inermis & Azadirachta indica in Alloxan & Streptozocin induced diabetic rats. The results showed that the Polyherbal formulation of L inermis & A indica (F1, F2, F3) found to be significant decrease (P<0.01) in blood glucose level as compared to the diabetic control group of animals while F4 & F5 were not significant (P>0.01) compared to the diabetic control group of animals.

Extrait The present study was conducted to evaluate the effect of giving ethanolic extract of Lawsonia inermis leaves to the glucose & Malondialdehyde (MDA) level in alloxan-induced diabetic Wistar male rats. The result showed that LLEE improved blood glucose level (BGLs) of alloxan-induced diabetic rats significantly (p< 0.001) at 29th day.

Extrait Abstract: The aimed of this study is to extract the essential oil from Strobilanthes crispus(Acanthaceae) & Lawsonia inermis Linn (Lythraceae) & to investigate the chemical constituents, antioxidant activity & cytotoxicity effects of these oils on several cancer cell lines and normal cell lines. The essential oil from L displayed the strongest cytotoxic effect on liver cancer cell lines (HepG2) with50- IC(concentration that inhibit 50% of cell proliferation) value of 24 μg ml.
