    • Selon Shahrzad K (2014)

Extrait Serum levels of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine transferase & alkaline phosphates in rats coadminstered with both isoniazid (INH) 50 mg/kg & SO extract at 250 mg/kg showed significant reduction when compared to INH group, but administration of SO extract 250 mg/kg alone & with INH has alleviated gamma-glutamyl transferase comparing to INH receiving rats. The antioxidant effects of Salvia officinalis L.

    • Selon Amin A, (2005)

Extrait In addition, these herbs blocked the induced elevated levels of alanine aminotransferase & aspartate aminotransferase in serum. This escalates levels of alanine aminotransferase, & aspartate aminotransferase in serum.

    • Selon Lima CF (2005)

Extrait In this study, we evaluate the biosafety & bioactivity (antioxidant potential) of a traditional water infusion (tea) of common sage (Salvia officinalis L.) in vivo in mice & rats by quantification of plasma transaminase activities and liver glutathione-S-transferase (GST) & glutathione reductase (GR) enzyme activities. When these hepatocyte cultures were exposed to 0.75 or 1mM of tert-butyl hydroperoxide (t-BHP) for 1h, some protection against lipid peroxidation & GSH depletion was conferred by sage tea drinking.

    • Selon Hubbert (2006)

Extrait The therapeutically active principle is a Salvia Officinalis leaf fluid extract (1:1, extraction solvent ethanol 70% V/V). A randomised double-blind placebo-controlled clinical trial with 67 hyperlipidemic (hypercholesterolemic and/or hyper-triglyceridemic) patients, the effects of taking SO leaf extract (one 500 mg capsule every 8 hours for 2 months, capsules prepared as in Kianbakht & Dabaghian (2013)) on fasting blood levels of lipids, creatinine & liver enzymes were evaluated in 34 patients & compared with the placebo group (n=33).

    • Selon Mohammed HA (s.d.)

Extrait Sage, Salvia officinalis L., is used worldwide as an aromatic herb for culinary purposes as well as a traditional medicinal agent for various ailments. A notable increase in the viability of the cells, & total antioxidant capacity (TAOxC) levels, together with the reduction in malondialdehyde (MDA) levels were observed by the EOs obtained from all the batches as compared with the AAP-treated cell-lines, HepG-2, HeLa, & MCF-7, that indicated the in vitro hepatoprotective effects of the sage essential oils.

    • Selon Amin A, (2005)

Extrait To our knowledge, this report is the first that shows hepatoprotective effects of Hibiscus, Rosmarinus & Salvia species against Azathioprine-induced acute liver damage. Typically, administration of Azathioprine induces oxidative stress through depleting the activities of antioxidants & elevating the level of malondialdehyde in liver.

Results showed significant reduction (P< 0.05) of fasting blood glucose level in alloxan-induced diabetic rats’ treatment with plant extracts & Glibenclamide drug as compared with infected control group.

    • Selon Shafiee-Nick R (2012)

Extrait The effects of a polyherbal compound, containing six plants (Allium sativum, Cinnamomum zeylanicum, Nigella sativa, Punica granatum, Salvia officinalis & Teucrium polium) were tested on biochemical parameters in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. In conclusion, the MSEC inhibited the progression of hyperglycemia & decreased serum lipids and hepatic enzyme activity in diabetic rats.

    • Selon Ben Khedher MR (s.d.)

Extrait We investigated possible anti-diabetic, anti-inflammatory & anti-obesity effects of sage methanol (MetOH) extract in a nutritional mouse model of obesity, inflammation & insulin resistance, as well as its effects on lipolysis & lipogenesis in 3T3-L1 cells. Salvia officinalis (sage) is a native plant to the Mediterranean region & has been used for a long time in traditional medicine for various diseases.

    • Selon Eidi M (2005)

Extrait To determine the hypoglycaemic effect of SO leaves, we investigated the effects of essential oil & methanolic effect of the plant on healthy & streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats. The results showed that the EO of sage did not change serum glucose, while the plant extract significantly decreased serum glucose in diabetic rats in 3h without effect on insulin releasing from the pancreas but not in healthy rats.
