    • Selon Bahado-Singh PlS (2014)

Extrait & G officinale in an excision wound model of normal & streptozotocin induced type I diabetic rats. Jamaican Ball Moss (Tillandsia recurvata sp.) & Lignum Vitae (Guaiacum officinale) are indigenous to the West Indian region & have been widely studied & used as ethnomedicinal remedies to treat numerous diseases.

    • Selon Ibrahim S (2019)

Extrait The aim of present study is to evaluate the antidiabetic & hepatoprotective effect of Guaiacum officinale in streptozotocin induced male albino rats. The SGOT level significantly reduced in GO treated group as compare to control, pronounced reduction of ALT level as compared to GLB & the ALP levels was highly significantly reduced in Guaiacum officinale treated group while GLB is unable to improve ALP levels in GLB treated diabetic albino rats.

    • Selon Sarkar A (2014)

Extrait The aim of the present study was to evaluate the anti-rheumatic & anti-oxidant activity of homeopathic preparations of Guaiacum officinale on experimental animal model. Design: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) was induced in male albino rats by Freund's complete adjuvant (FCA) at a dose of (0.25 mg heat killed Mycobacterium tuberculosis/ml of emulsion).

    • Selon Duwiejua M (1994)

Extrait The aqueous ethanolic extracts of Polygonum bistorta, Polygonaceae, Guaiacum officinale-Zygophyllaceae & Hamamelis virginiana Hamamelidaceae were screened for anti-inflammatory activity. The extract (200 mg kg-1), administered after the onset of the inflammatory responses reversed the course of both the carrageenan- & adjuvant-induced rat paw swelling.

Extrait Jamaican Ball Moss (Tillandsia recurvata sp.) & Lignum Vitae (Guaiacum officinale) are indigenous to the West Indian region & have been widely studied & used as ethnomedicinal remedies to treat numerous diseases. The anti-tumor properties of the TC have been the centre of recent discussions, however, both plants are quite popular among Jamaican folklore medicine as effective anti-inflammatory remedies in the treatment of arthritic & rheumatic conditions.

    • Selon Shoukat S (2021)

Extrait The present work is an attempt to find out biological potential of various extracts & ethanol fractions of Guaiacum officinale. No toxic effect was experienced against the normal cell line, showing it is safe in cancer therapy.

    • Selon Lowe H (2014)

Extrait In our search for plants with anticancer and anti-infective properties, we evaluated Guaiacum officinale for activity against HIV-1. Guaiacum officinale is the “National Flower”, with reported uses in folk medicine for the treatment of various conditions including inflammation.

Extrait In the present study, we used the ethanolic & methanolic extracts of Terminalia cattapa, Guaiacum officinale, Conocarpus erectus, Prosopis juliflora, Ziziphys nummularia, & Moringa oleifera to deterimine antimicrobial potential of these plants against pathogenic clinical isolates. G officinale only inhibited the growth of Escherichia coli while no inhibitory effect was observed by the extracts of ZN & MO.

    • Selon Shoukat S (2021)

Extrait The present work is an attempt to find out biological potential of various extracts & ethanol fractions of Guaiacum officinale. The antimicrobial potential was tested against pathogenic bacteria by a well diffusion process & only one strain (S.
