Extrait The present study was carried out to determine the effect of ethanolic extract of commonly available Imperata cylindrica leaves on alloxan induced diabetic rats. The male Wistar rats (100-110gm) were fasted overnight before the intraperitoneal injection of alloxan monohydrate (100 mg/kg, i.p) prepared in the citrate buffer (0.1M, pH 4.5) for three consecutive days to produce diabetes.

Selon Orliando Roeslan M (2021)
Extrait Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is classified as the most common type of oral cancer up to 90% of all malignant neoplasm in the oral cavity. Purpose: The study aims to determine the effect of IC leaf extract on the proliferation & migration of human oral squamous carcinoma-3 (HSC-3) cell lines.

Selon Paul N (2021)
Extrait Imperata cylindrica is traditionally used to cure several diseases including cancer, wounds, & hypertension. In conclusion, IC-MeOH is a rich source of cytotoxic metabolites that inhibits human cervical cancer proliferation via apoptosis & cell cycle arrest.

Selon Paul N (2020)
Extrait The aim of this study was to assess the acute & sub-chronic oral toxicity of methanol root extract of Imperata cylindrica. the cytotoxicity of the root's methanol extract of Imperata cylindrica (ICR).
-
Selon Paul N (2021)
Extrait Imperata cylindrica is a medicinal spice traditionally used in the treatment of hypertension & cancer. After the genome-wide transcriptome analysis, we found that important genes involved in cancer progression & metastasis of cervical cancer, that is, CD24 and TIMP-4 were significantly downregulated & upregulated, respectively.

Selon Khaerunnisa S (2020)
Extrait The in vivo tests showed that the ethyl acetate fraction of IC reduced total cholesterol & LDL levels more effectively than the ethanol extract, but did not affect HDL levels in rats with hypercholesterolemia. The fraction of ethyl acetate administered at 15 mg/200 g BW was capable of lowering the total cholesterol levels significantly (P=0.002) & lowered LDL levels (P=0.006) but was unable to increase HDL levels (P=0.190).
