    • Selon Aladesanmi A.J (2020)

Extrait The study investigated eight Nigerian medicinal plants: Artocarpus communis fruit (Ac-F), Cassia sieberiana root bark (Cs-R), Eugenia uniflora leaf (Eu-L), Hibiscus rosa-sinensis flower (Hr-F), Laportea aestuans aerial part (La-A), Massularia acuminata stem bark (Ma-S), Trichilla heudelotii leaf (Th-L), & Xylopia aethiopica fruit (Xa-F), for anticancer activity. The results showed a concentration dependent decrease in cancer cell viability & cytotoxicity of four of the extracts, namely MA stem bark (Ma-S), XA fruit (Xa-F (La-A),), L aestuans aerial part (XP) & E uniflora leaf (Eu-L).

    • Selon TIJANI AS (2022)

Extrait Laportea aestuans (Urticaceae) plant is widely distributed in tropical rain forests & used as remedial agent for various diseases in Nigeria by herbal practitioners. This study investigated the cytoprotective effect of pretreatment with methanol extract of L aestuans (MELA) for 7 days on ethanol-induced gastric ulcer in male Wistar rats using cimetidine as a standard drug.

    • Selon ODO EC (2024)

Extrait This study evaluated the ameliorative effect of Hydrocotyle verticillata (H.v) & Laportea aestuans (L.a) leaves extracts on hematological, biochemical & histopathological indices on 7,12-dimethylbenz(α) anthracene (DMBA) induced-leukemia in Wistar rats. HV & LA have shown to possess hepato-renal protective effect & modulated hematological indices in induced-leukemia,.

    • Selon ODO EC (2022)

Extrait Leukemia has been linked to mRNA expression of Sphingosine-1-phosphate receptor-1(S1PR-1) & considering multiple reports on the roles of phytochemicals in Hydrocotyle verticillata & Laportea aestuans, this study aims to evaluate the effects of administration of ethanol extracts of the 2 plants in regulation of mRNA expression of S1PR-1 in leukemia induced by 7,12-dimethylbenz(α) anthracene (DMBA) in rats. Conclusion: This outcome of the present study has shown that the plant extracts upregulated the mRNA expression of S1PR1 in a leukemic rat hence can be used as an adjunct in leukemia treatment,.
