    • Selon Bourebaba N (2021)

Extrait The aim of this study was to establish the potential effect of Laurus nobilis ethanolic extract on improving insulin sensitivity & protecting liver cells from apoptosis, mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress (OS), & inflammation; all of which considered as major alterations occurring during insulin resistance (IR) as well as diabetes onset, in hyperinsulinemic & hyperglycemic-induced HepG2 cell line. Subsequently, HepG2 cells were pre-treated with an optimal concentration of LN ethanolic extract for 24 h, & then, subjected to 30 mM D-glucose & 500 nM insulin mixture for another 24 h in order to induce hyperinsulinemia & hyperglycaemia (HI/HG) status.

    • Selon Rafaat Mohammed R (2021)

Extrait This study aimed to investigate the activity of L nobilis leave extracts on histopathological & biochemical changes in β-cells of streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats. Thirty healthy adult male albino rats were included in the study & divided equally into 5 groups for 4 weeks as follow; control group (C), diabetic group (D), diabetic L nobilis extract group (DLN), L nobilis extract group (LN) & diabetic acarbose (DA) group.

    • Selon Basak SS (2013)

Extrait The present study was designed to determine the effects of the essential oil of Laurus nobilis & its three main components on α-glucosidase & reactive oxygen species scavenging activity. An α-glucosidase inhibition assay was applied to evaluate the in-vitro antidiabetic activity of the essential oil.

    • Selon Duletić-Laušević S (2019)

Extrait Since the oxidative stress results in development of numerous diseases, among them neurodegeneration & diabetes, the antioxidant activity, antineurodegenerative & antidiabetic activities were analyzed, aiming to compare potential of plants cultivated under natural conditions & commercially purchased from the market, as well as to compare the effect of different solvents applied in the extraction process. Ocimum basilicum (sweet basil) & Laurus nobilis (bay leaves or laurel) have been used in traditional medicine for centuries, & also extensively employed as spices for adding aroma & flavor to various food products.

    • Selon Fang F (2005)

Extrait The goal of this study was to identify compounds from Laurus nobilis, which are responsible for inducing apoptosis using bioassay-directed isolation. Bay leaf has been used as herbal medicine & has pharmacological activity which includes anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-diabetes & anti-inflammatory effects.
