Skeels, lead tree Leucaena leucocephala (Lam.) de Wit & guava Psidium guajava (L.) are commonly well known plants & have been widely used in folk medicine for the treatment of many diseases in Thailand. The results revealed, that the extracts significantly (p<0.05) decreased blood glucose level, total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride, (TG), low density lipoprotein (LDL), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) & creatinine but increased high density lipoprotein (HDL) & serum insulin in the diabetic treated rats.

Extrait This study was investigating the antidiarrheal activity of the ethanol extracts of Leucaena leucocephala (Lam) de Wit seeds induced by oleum ricini & intestinal transit methods for rats. leucocephala seed extract at doses of 100, 200, & 400 mg/kg bw has been shown to significantly delay the onset of diarrhea, reduce diarrhea frequency, stool weight & duration of diarrhea compared with Na CMC as a negative control (p < 0.05).
