      Extrait Ethanolic extracts of Mentha Piperata, Ocimum basilicum & Coleus aromaticus were studied for the in-vitro cytotoxicity against Human Laryngeal epidermoid carcinoma (Hep-2 cell lines). The findings of the present investigation demonstrated that M Piperata significantly suppresses growth & induces apoptosis in Hep-2 cell lines.

      Extrait The EO anticancer activity was evaluated at various incubation periods (24, 48, and 72 h) against three human breast cancer cell lines. In this study, constituents of Mentha piperita essential oil were identified using GC-MS analysis with five major ingredients of menthol (31.0%), menthone (22.1%), camphane (7.0%), menthofuran (6.0%), & iso-menthone (5.8%).

      Extrait The chemopreventive and antimutagenic effects of an aqueous extract of Mentha piperita leaves were evaluated by using 9-week medium term model of benzo[a]pyrene (BP)-induced lung tumors. The oral administration of Mentha extract (ME) showed a significant reduction in the number of lung tumors from an incidence of 67.92% in animals given only BP to 26.31%.

The leaf extract activity being more on B subtilis, S aureus & P vulgaris than E coli, S pneumonia & K pneumonia.

      Extrait The purpose of this study was to determine the combined effect of the ethanolic extract of MP & amikacin against Klebsiella pneumonia, Staphylococcus aureus, & Escherichia coli as well as the compounds contained in the ethanolic extract of MP lleaves. The results showed a synergistic effect with the largest inhibition zone diameter at a ratio of 25:75 at a concentration of 200 mg/mL, which was 36.25±2.5 mm on K pneumonia bacteria.
