    • Selon Auteur (2014)

Extrait Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the anti- inflammatory & analgesic effects of PA ethanolic extract (EEPA) & its isolated compound N-[7-(3′,4′-Methylenedioxyphenyl)-2(Z),4(Z)-hepta-dienoyl]pyrrolidine in experimental models of inflammation (paw edema & pleurisy induced by carrageenan injection), hyperalgesy (electronic von Frey), vasorelaxation (in vitro) & mean arterial pressure (MAP - in vivo), in rodents. We concluded that EEPA shows anti-inflammatory, analgesic & hypotensive properties.

    • Selon Monteiro LM (2023)

Extrait Therefore, PA leaves are safe & present diuretic activity after acute & repeated dose administration over 7 days. is used in Brazilian traditional medicine to treat inflammation, chest pain, & anxiety.

    • Selon Salehi, B (2019)

Extrait Among the functional properties of Piper plants/extracts/active components the antiproliferative, anti-inflammatory, & neuro-pharmacological activities of the extracts & extract-derived bioactive constituents are thought to be key effects for the protection against chronic conditions, based on preclinical in vitro & in vivo studies, besides clinical studies. In traditional medicine, Piper species have been used worldwide to treat several diseases such as urological problems, skin, liver & stomach ailments, for wound healing, and as antipyretic & anti-inflammatory agents.

    • Selon Stein J (2022)

Extrait (Piperaceae) is traditionally used due to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, diuretic, & antiparasitic properties.

    • Selon Takeara R (2017)

Extrait Many of these species are biologically active and have shown antitumor, antimicrobial, antioxidant, insecticidal, anti-inflammatory, antinociceptive, enzyme inhibitor, antiparasitic, antiplatelet, piscicide, allelopathic, antiophidic, anxiolytic, antidepressant, antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, amebicide & diuretic possibilities. Pharmacological studies of Piper species point toward the vast potential of these plants to treat various diseases.

    • Selon Da-Silva Arrigo J (2016)

Extrait Piper amalago (Piperaceae) has been used in folk medicine as an analgesic. Aim of the study: This study evaluated the anti-nociceptive, anti-hyperalgesic, anti-arthritic & anti-depressive activities of the ethanolic extract of EEPA & the amides N-[7-(3',4'-methylene-dioxyphenyl)-2(Z),4(Z)-heptadienoyl] pyrrolidine (1) & N-[7-(3',4'-methylenedioxyphenyl)-2(E),4(E)-heptadienoyl] pyrrolidine (2) obtained from PA in animal models.

    • Selon Stein J (2022)

    • Selon Da-Silva Arrigo J (2016)

Extrait Piper amalago (Piperaceae) has been used in folk medicine as an analgesic. Materials & methods: Mice treated daily with EEPA (100mg/kg, p.o.) were assayed for 20 days for knee edema (micrometer measurement), mechanical hyperalgesia (analgesiometer analysis), heat sensitivity & immobility (forced swim test) in the Complete Freund's Adjuvant (CFA) model.

    • Selon Monteiro LM (2023)

Extrait is used in Brazilian traditional medicine to treat inflammation, chest pain, & anxiety.

    • Selon Giovannini P (2017)

Extrait Only nine species were reported in at least three studies: Cissampelos pareira L., Piper amalago L., Aristolochia trilobata L., Sansevieria Hyacinthoides (L.) Druce, Strychnos panamensis Seem., Dorstenia contrajerva L., Scoparia dulcis L., Hamelia patens Jacq., & Simaba cedron Planch. Available pharmacological data suggest different plant species may target different symptoms of snakebites, such as pain or anxiety, although more studies are needed to further evaluate the scientific basis for their use.

Both EEPA (100 mg/kg) & its isolated compound (3 mg/kg) exhibited antihyperalgesic effect in the model of mechanical hyperalgesia induced by carrageenan injection in mice.

    • Selon Stein J (2022)

Extrait (Piperaceae) is traditionally used due to its anti-inflammatory, analgesic, diuretic, & antiparasitic properties.
