Selon Srinivasan K (2001)
Extrait In the present study, the anti-inflammatory activity of 70% ethanolic extract of Pongamia pinnata leaves (PLE) in acute, subacute & chronic models of inflammation was assessed in rats. Per os (p.o.) administration of PLE (300, 1000 mg/kg) exhibited significant anti-inflammatory activity in acute (carrageenin, histamine, 5-hydroxytryptamine & prostaglandin E2-induced hind paw edema), subacute (kaolin-carrageenin & formaldehyde-induced hind paw edema) & chronic (cotton pellet granuloma) models of inflammation.

Selon YASOTHKUMAR D (2023)
Extrait Pongamia pinnata Merr., a member of the Fabaceae family, is extensively spread throughout tropical Asia. The anti-oxidant & anti-inflammatory activity of PP seed extract was considerably higher at 500 g, as shown by the DPPH test & albumin denaturation inhibition.

Selon DONG H (2022)
Extrait The anti-inflammatory activities of compounds 1-3, as well as their aglycones 5a, 5b, & 23, were determined against NO production in the LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. The results indicated that the O-glycosylation may reduce the anti-inflammatory activity of furano Flavonoid in vitro.

Extrait The following five species seems to be of special interest for further antimalarial studies, Casearia elliptica, Holarrhena pubescens, Pongamia pinnata, Soymida febrifuga & Plumbago zeylanica. Plants traditionally used in India to treat fever or malaria were examined in vitro for antiplasmodial properties against Plasmodium falciparum.

Selon SATISH PPP (2017)
Extrait The objective of the current study was to assess the in vitro antiplasmodial activities of leaf, bark, flower, & the root of Pongamia pinnata against chloroquine-sensitive Plasmodium falciparum (3D7 strain), cytotoxicity against Brine shrimp larvae & THP-1 cell line. Sequentially crude extracts of methanol (polar), chloroform (non-polar), hexane (non-polar), ethyl acetate (non-polar) & aqueous (polar) of dried leaves, bark, flowers & roots of Pongamia pinnata were prepared using Soxhlet apparatus.
