Extrait In this work, we evaluate the antidiabetic effect of Spondias purpurea seed methanol extract (CSM) in vitro & in a glucose-induced diabetic zebrafish model. These data show that CSM has a promising antidiabetic effect & may be useful in reducing some of the pathologies associated with diabetes mellitus.

Extrait Hyperglycemia in diabetes mellitus causes irreversible life-threatening micro- & macrovascular complications. The results obtained show that the hexane extract of the fruit of Spondias purpurea (CFH) effectively inhibits the glycation reaction, in addition to increasing the thiol groups & decreasing levels of fructosamine, protein carbonyl, & CML.

Extrait This paper has as objective to determine the antioxidant activity by the method of DPPH radical scavenging & to determinate the total phenolic content by Folin-Ciocalteu method of the fruits of Spondias sp.(cajá-umbu), Spondias tuberosa (umbu), Spondias purpurea (siriguela), Hancornia speciosa (mangaba), Annona muricata (soursop), Rollinia mucosa (biribá), Pouteria caimito (abiu) & Solanum sessiliflorum (cubiú). Studies have shown that populations with diets based on fruits & vegetables have a low incidence of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, among others.

Extrait The fruits of Spondias purpurea are found in many parts of the world, where it is an important natural source of phenolic compounds such as tannins, phenolic acids & flavonoids. The phenolic & flavonoid contents, scavenger radical activity (DPPH), antimicrobial activity & chemical analysis were also evaluated.

Selon De Oliveira TE (2022)
Extrait This study showed that the 100 % ethanolic (EtOH) extract was favorable for antifungal & antioxidant activities & did not present significant cytotoxicity against the three studied cell lines, indicating that SP leaves are promising for the development of new antimicrobials. Antimicrobial activity was evaluated by the MIC using the 96-well plate microdilution technique of ethanolic, hexanic & dicloromethanic extracts of dried SP leaves against bacteria, yeast & filamentous fungi.

Extrait Chemical analysis of leave powders & extracts of Byrsonima crassifolia, Ocimum basilicum, Persea americana, Psidium guajava & Spondias purpurea by gas chromatography & spectrometry of masses (CG-MS) analysis showed that 89 volatile compounds were present. The aims of this study were to examine the chemical composition of the leave powders & extract (Hexane, methanol & water) of Mexican plants & to test in vitro, their efficacy as antifungal potential against Fusarium oxysporum f.
