A randomized, controlled, cross-over and double-blinded study was conducted to assess the effectiveness and safety of Stevia rebaudiana leaves to reduce blood glucose and mean arterial pressure in Sahrawi patients with type 2 diabetes.

      Extrait The optimal dose of ethanol extract of stevia leaf & ethanol extract of bitter leaf that can decrease LPO level in mouse Diabetes Mellitus induced is 75%: 25% STSA dose ie 75 mg / kg BW stevia: 5.12 mg / kg BB sambiloto. This study was conducted to determine the optimal effectiveness of ethanol extract combination of stevia leaves & bitter leaves of oxidative stress in diabetic Mellitus rats compared in single form.

In this research, 30 male mice were distributed randomly into control, diabetic (streptozotocin 150 mg/kg) & diabetic + Stevia (400 mg/kg) groups.

      Extrait Results: The results showed a reduction of blood glucose, ALT & AST, & increment of insulin level in the stevia whole leaves powder & extracted polyphenols fed rats compared to control diabetic group. Stevia rebaudiana has been used for the treatment of diabetes in, for example, Brazil, although a positive effect on antidiabetic & its complications has not been unequivocally demonstrated.
