Extrait Anthelmintic activity of the fresh juice of Xanthium strumarium leaves at different concentration was evaluated in vitro, against Benzimidazole resistant Haemonchus contortus strain, using egg hatch assay (EHA) & larval paralysis test (LPT). No anthelmintic activity of the X strumarium juice was observed at 1: 100 dilutions, however, undiluted juice of the leaves showed a 100% inhibition in egg hatching by EHA. K (2002) — extrait : Here Anthelmintic activity of essential oils of Bothriocloa pertusa, Abutilon indicum, Xanthium strumarium, Mentha spicata, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum, Santalum album, Parthenium hysterophorus were studied on earth worm, tape worm, hook worm and nodular worm and it was observed that essential oils from Xanthium strumarium possess superior anthelmintic activity against earth worm, tape worm, hook worm and nodular worm, as compared to standard substance. They are also widely studied in connection with their germicidal property against bacterial and fungal diseases.
