Extrait Results: Large zones of inhibition were observed in disc diffusion antibacterial screening against four Gram-positive bacteria (Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus megaterium, Staphylococcus aureus & Streptococcus pyogenes) & six Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, Shigella dysenteriae, Shigella sonnei, Shigella flexneri, Pseudomonas aeruginosa & Salmonella typhi). To assess the in vitro antibacterial, antifungal & cytotoxic activities of amblyone, a triterpenoid isolated from Amorphophallus campanulatus (Roxb).

Selon Kadali VN (2016)
Extrait The ethanolic tuber extract of the plant shown inhibitory effect on four bacterial species such as Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli & Streptococcus mutans. The ethanolic extract of peel showed inhibitory effect only on two bacterial species such as Staphylococcus aureus & Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

Selon MUTHUKAMARAN P (2016)
Extrait In antibacterial activity, among four extracts, ethyl acetate extract showed maximum activity f or Bacillus subtilis MTCC 121 (7.5 mm zone of inhibition) & Staphylococcus aureus MTCC 737 (7 mm of zone of inhibition). Ethanolic extracts showed the zone of inhibition of 3.75 mm for Staphylococcus aureus MTCC 737 & 4 mm for Pseudomonas aeruginosa MTCC 424.

Extrait In antibacterial activity, among four extracts, ethyl acetate extract showed maximum activity for Bacillus subtilis - MTCC 121 (7.5 mm zone of inhibition) & Staphylococcus aureus - MTCC 737 (7 mm of zone of inhibition). Ethanolic extracts showed the zone of inhibition of 3.75 mm for Staphylococcus aureus - MTCC 737 & methanolic extract showed 4 mm of inhibition for Pseudomonas aeruginosa - MTCC 424.Thus the above studies give basic idea about importance of bioactive compound from these medicinal plants and we can go for further purification & isolation of biologically active molecules from the AP.
