    • Selon Adewale OO (2022)

Extrait Basella alba has been reported to have medicinal properties, & in this study, the anti-oxidative potentials of ethanol leaf extract of BA were assessed against oxidative stress induced by acrylamide in male Wistar rats (120-150g). The liver & kidney tissues were processed for the analyses of antioxidant activities.

    • Selon Olubayode B (2015)

Extrait This work investigated the effect of ethanolic extract of BA on lead- induced hepatotoxicity in male rats. Then, levels of the liver enzymes in the serum were measured.

    • Selon Nirmala A (2009)

Extrait In liver, the changes caused after induction of diabetes was global microvesicular steatosis .The portal tracts appeared normal & central veins appeared congested, which was brought back to normal after feeding with BR. The diabetes-induced rats were fed with BR(400 mg/100 gm body weight orally through a gavage), when tested after ingestion the fasting blood glucose levels were remarkably reduced to normal & liver glycogen content was remarkably increased.

    • Selon Yanadaiah JP (2011)

Extrait The aqueous ethanolic extract of aerial parts of BR has shown very significant hepatoprotection against both Paracetamol induced and CCl4-induced hepatotoxicity study models in wistar rats. The present study was conducted to evaluate the hepatoprotective activity of aqueous ethanolic extract of aerial parts of BR in wistar rats.

    • Selon Kumar BR (2018)

Extrait The evaluation of the cytoxicity of these extracts on A431 (epidermoid carcinoma), Hep G2 (hepatocellular carcinoma) & MG 63 (osteosarcoma) cells indicated anti-proliferative activity against all the cell lines. These studies indicate that Basella sps can be used as a source of natural antioxidants & can be of high significance in pharmaceutical & nutraceutical industries.
