      Extrait The current investigation analysed the effect of combination of standardized hydroalcoholic extracts of Asparagus racemosus (AR), Centella asiatica (CA)& Plumeria rubra (PR) on glibenclamide (GB) administered in experimentally induced diabetic nephropathy (DN) in Wistar rats. Co-administration of ACP (400mg/kg) with GB (5mg/kg) significantly (p<0.01) decreased BUN, creatinine, uric acid, significantly increased (p<0.05) SOD, significantly (p<0.01) decreased MDA, significantly increased (p<0.05) serum insulin when compared with diabetic control.

In long term treatment of alloxan induced diabetic rats, the degree of protection was determined by measuring blood glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol and urea levels on 0, 3, 5, 7 and 10th day.

      Extrait Liver injury can be acute or chronic, resulting from a variety of factors, including viral hepatitis, drug overdose, idiosyncratic drug reaction, or toxins, while the progression of pathogenesis in the liver rises due to the involvement of numerous cytokines & growth factor mediators.       Extrait We conducted this study to determine the potential of Centella asiatica as a natural substance to protect against APAP-induced liver injury.       Extrait The present study was designed to examine the protective effect of Centella asiatica ethanolic leaves extract on the haematological, hepatic & nephritic function marker changes induced in the blood of cadmium chloride treated albino rats. Various concentrations of C asiatica ethanolic extract (20, 40, 60, 80, 100 mg/kg body weight) or silymarin (50 mg/kg body weight) as a pretreatment were administered for 30 days to rats treated with cadmium chloride (5 mg/kg body weight).
