      Extrait The hepatoprotective activity of Conyza bonariensis ethanol extract was studied against paracetamol induced hepatotoxicity in mice. The results showed that an extract of C.B (250 mg/kg & 500 mg/kg) produced (p<0.05) decline in paracetamol induced liver marker enzymes & total bilirubin, but its 750 mg/kg showed remarkable decline in ALT, AST, ALP & TB levels, compared to the reference levels of silymarin & results were supported by histopathology of liver section.

      Extrait parapsilosis), 17 dermatophytes (6 Trichophyton rubrum, 6 Trichophyton mentagrophytes, 5 Microsporum canis) & 6 Staphylococcus aureus. Conclusions: Results allow to conclude that the CB tincture displays antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus & antifungal activity against the main fungi causing superficial infections, such as dermatophytes, Candida & Malassezia.

      Extrait Additionally, the essential oil presented a significant bactericidal effect against Bacillus cereus, while a moderate activity was observed against Staphylococcus epidermidis & Candida albicans. The essential oil from aerial parts of Conyza bonariensis (L) Cronquist collected in Mérida was obtained by hydrodistillation & analysed by GC/MS.

      Extrait Methods: Initial experimental activities involved preparation of crude extracts & EO, which were then, tested for antimicrobial activity against selected test organisms (Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC29213), Bacillus subtilis (ATCC6051), Escherichia coli (ATCC8736), Salmonella typhi (ATCC6539), & Candida albicans (DSM1665)) by using the disc diffusion method. albicans, where the MIC was 50 mg/mL > MIC > 25 mg/mL.
