    • Selon Widdat Allah MO (2019)

Extrait Khaya senegalensis has traditionally used in the management of diabetes. The leaves & bark of the plant were extracted with ethanol 96%, & then tested for anti-diabetic activity in a series of in vitro models & a type 2 diabetes model of rats.

  2. Cancer : chémoprévention du carcinome colorectal

    Partie usitée : Écorce.

    • Selon Andreoulakis XM (2006)

Extrait Khaya senegalensis bark extract (KSBE) was hypothesized to contain inhibitors of the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) gene & to be useful in the prevention and treatment of colorectal cancer. An extract of the bark of Khaya senegalensis is commonly used in African traditional medicine for pain & inflammation.

    • Selon Zhang H (2007)

Extrait Two limonoids were isolated from the methanol extract of Khaya senegalensis (Meliaceae), & their structures were identified as 3alpha,7alpha-dideacetylkhivorin (1) & 1-O-acetylkhayanolide B (2) on the basis of MS & NMR spectral data.

    • Selon Rabadeux C (2017)

Extrait Khaya senegalensis (Desr.) A. This study was undertaken to test KS bark extracts for the ability to inhibit microbial & cancer cell growth, & thus to validate traditional African medicinal usage of this plant in treating a variety of diseases.

    • Selon Olugbami OJ (2017)

Extrait In this study, therefore, we evaluated the antimetastatic potentials of an extract of Khaya senegalensis & curcumin on the metastatic liver cell line HepG2, & also assessed the anticancer property of the extract. Treated cells were assessed as follows: nanotechnologically—atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to determine cell stiffness; biochemically—cell cytotoxicity, glutathione level & adenosine triphosphate status, caspase activation & mitochondrial toxicity were considered; & microbiologically—a carrot disk assay was used to assess the anticancer property of the extract of KS.

  3. Infection bactérienne : Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhii, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Streptococcus faecalis, Shigella sp

    Partie usitée : Feuille.

    • Selon Wakirwa JH (2010)

Extrait Khaya senegalensis ethanol leaf extract was examined for antimicrobial potential against some selected clinical isolates (Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae & Candida albicans). Khaya senegalensis is an important multipurpose tree in its natural range in sub-Saharan Africa.

    • Selon Jiang YH (2022)

Extrait Three new mexicanolide limonoids were obtained from the 90% ethanol extract of the seeds of Khaya senegalensis. Consequently, compounds 1–3 exhibited antimicrobial activity against the tested Gram negative bacteria at the minimum inhibitory concentration values less than 40 μg/ml.

    • Selon Makut DM (2008)

Extrait The test organisms were Staphylococcus aureus, Steptococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli & Candida albicans. Khaya senegalensis , a member of the family Meliaceae, is a plant commonly used by the local people of Nasarawa State of Nigeria for the treatment of dysentery, mucous diarrhoea & wound infections.

    • Selon Abdallah (2016)

Extrait Khaya senegalensis leaf extracts contain some bioactive ingredients which include; saponins, alkaloids, tannins & flavonoids.

    • Selon Yuan CM (2013)

Extrait Eight new limonoids, khayseneganins A–H (1–8), & 31 known limonoids were isolated from the leaves & twigs of Khaya senegalensis. Compounds 9, 10, 12, & 15 showed antimicrobial activities against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, MRSA 92#, & MRSA 98#, all with a MIC value of 12.5 μg/mL.
